Re: Sniper article
Snipers definately exhist in paintball.  For example, if I were dressed in full ghille, with my good ol' tippmann with a flatline, stock, scope, etc, YOU WOULDNT BE ABLE TO SEE ME from a distance.  Yet, I could spot you, and successfully eliminate you from 150 feet away---way out of reach of your typical marker.  Aside from that, a sniper is someone who can conceal themselves and eliminate their target without being seen.  So, run right up to your opponents in a red shirt and a pair of blue jeans and see what happens.

No one really wears blue jeans and a red shirt while playing in the woods. Most people wear camo. Plus he never said that snipers weren't real in paintball, its just hard to be one. Yes flatlines and apexs give you more range, but their accuracy is somewhat worse than most barrels, and if the paint actually hits your intended target, it will probly just bounce off them. If you use brittle paint so that it could break on people easier, you have a very high risk of breaking paint in the barrel. If paint does break in the barrel, you might as well just call yourself out, so that you can clean it really well. Plus if you really want to be a good sniper, get a really quiet gun, and put an apex on it. Tippmanns are notorious for being loud, and the quieter you are on the field, the less chances there are of you beeing taken out from an opponents team mate that heard you fire. With guillie a quiet gun, and good use of sniping tactics, yes you will be a paintball sniper (as much as I hate to say), But if you dont conceal yourself like you sad, or you dont stay quiet, then you might as well forget about being a sniper. Just my opinion though.

Re: Sniper article
No one here is saying whether or not the sniper career can or can not exist in paintball.  Just pointing out the article and noteing the different tactics that can be 'sniper-ish.'
